Toledo has many local gyms and YMCA’s to take advantage of the workout center, swimmming, play basketball, and numerous fitness classes. The Toledo YMCA’s also offers opportunities for kids to take classes in everything from karate to swimming to baseball. The YMCA’s are located in most Toledo area cities, such as Perrysburg, Sylvania, Toledo, Holland, Anthony Wayne, and Maumee. If you simply enjoy walking or jogging, you can also take advantage of the Toledo YMCA’s. Local joggers enjoy the outdoor atmosphere in the metro parks and bike trails. Our metro parks offer scenic trails and paths, perfect for relaxing walks or even jogging. Rest assured you will be close to at least one of the 10 metro parks. The local metro parks also have activities and playground areas for kids. Plan a perfect picnic at the Metro parks and simply relax outdoors.
If you enjoy swimming either for fitness or pleasure, you can also take advantage of Toledo’s local YMCA’s. They have both indoor and outdoor pools with many scheduled times for open swimming. Toledo’s YMCA’s also offer many swimming classes for all age groups. There are many other public swimming pools in the metropolitan Toledo area, such as St. James Club, Laurel Hill Swim and Tennis Club, Wildwood Athletic Club, Rolf Park Pool, Sylvania Country Club, Perrysburg Swimming Pool, and Green Hills Swimming Pool.

The Toledo area also offers many opportunities for golfing. There are golf clubs located all throughout the Metropolitan Toledo area. Shopping Heaven
The Toledo area is also a great place for shopping. For everyday shopping and grocery shopping, the local Target stores are a great place to shop. For bulk grocery shopping, shopping at Sam’s Club and Costco are perfect ways to save money. There is a Sam’s Club located in Spring Meadows in Holland and Toledo and a Costco located in Toledo. There are also many Wal-Mart stores in the Toledo area. There are Wal-Mart stores located in Holland, Toledo, Perrysburg, Oregon, Bowling Green, Napoleon and Wauseon.
For shopping opportunities that are not necessarily grocery shopping, Toledo also has many local malls and shopping centers. The Franklin Park Mall is a traditional mall and a great place to shop. Levis Commons and the Shops at Fallen Timbers are newer outdoor malls with many opportunities for shopping. Both of these shopping centers have movie theatres and restaurants. Levis Commons has stores such as Talbot’s, Coldwater Creek, Kirkland’s Home, and Jos. A Bank Clothiers. The Shops at Fallen Timbers has stores such as Dillard’s, JC Penney, the Children’s Place, Buckle, Gap, and Victoria’s Secret. There are also many local Bed Bath and Beyond stores in Holland and in other Toledo areas. There is also a Neiman Marcus in Auburn Hills, MI.
